Walter S. Tyler CEO/Founder
Walt is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s day
to day activities. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil
Engineering from Clemson University and is very involved in community
activities. He is Past Distinguished President and Life Member of
the Breakfast Optimist Club, Past President of the Columbia Contractors
Association, and member of the Clemson Letterman Association and
the Gideons International.
Charles Tyler
President
Charles joined the company in 1986. He is responsible for
overseeing safety and insurance policies for Tyler. Charles received
a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University.
Rich Spicer
Vice President/Corporate Secretary
Rich joined the company in 1996.
He received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Architectural Design
from Clemson University. Rich manages all phases of the construction
and business development processes.
Greg Tyler
Vice President/Treasurer
Greg has been on staff with Tyler Construction since February of
1999. He works as a Project Manager and Estimator. Greg has successfully
completed the NC/SC Construction Law Course, the Estimating Building
Constuction Class and his most recent, the Associated General Contractors
of America Project Management Course.
Larry McGrady
Project Manager
Mr. McGrady has over 26 years of experience in the construction
industry for DOD and DOE facilities including over 15 years as project
manager on major DOD and DOE facilities. His background includes
experience with U.S. government contractor requirements, including
preparation of estimates and compliance with FARs.
Mr. McGrady is familiar with industry standards for quality construction
including compliance with state and federal regulations governing
the practice of construction and compliance with national codes
and standards. He is experienced with the environmental, health
and safety regulations related to construction and the workplace.
Mr. McGrady has extensive experience with project management plans,
procedures, and tools, including project cost controls, subcontract
administration, and effective client interface.
Jimmy Butler
Project Manager
Jimmy joined Tyler Construction in June, 2006. He has over seven years experience in architectural design and production. Jimmy has worked in both commercial and military construction, locally and abroad. He earned an Associate Degree in Industrial Technologies from Midlands Technical College.
